Wailea-Makena, Maui County,
Hawaii.
The Wailea Resort occupies
1,500 acres of land. The master-planned
development can be found on
the sunny, southern coast of
Mauwi. The development for the resort
follows two important documents. The first
is a master plan to ensure low density and
superior community planning. The second is
the Wailea Community Association’s design
guidelines. The guidelines are followed in
all new building projects in the spirit of
preserving the island environment of Maui.
Wailea is known as one of the United States’
99 Best Recreational and Residential Private
Communities. A lot of the single detached
and condominium buildings in Wailea have
gated entryways for the privacy and security
of the residents. The development’s
utilities are buried underground so as not
to interfere with the lovely island views.
The roadways are beautifully
landscaped and are a delight to travel on.
Wailea offers locals and tourists a vast
menu of amenities that include restaurants,
world class golf courses, tennis courts,
shopping and entertainment establishments
and breathtaking sandy beaches.
Wailea is where many popular resorts are
located including the Wailea Beach Marriott,
the Grand
Wailea Resort & Spa, the
Four Seasons Maui, the Maui Prince, the
Wailea Beach Villas and the
Fairmont Kea Lani Maui.
